Angelica Consort
an early music group in Angelica Pennsylvania

viola da gamba        Recorders

Angelica consort is a group of 7 that enjoy playing medieval and renaissance music.. We meet weekly near Reading PA and play mostly for ourselves although we usually manage a few public performances a year. We all play soprano, alto, tenor, and bass recorders, and we also have two viola da gamba, crumhorns, and a bass dulcian. Our weekly sessions include a lot of sight reading. If you think you would like to join us, we welcome new players! Email us for more information.

One monday evening, we were playing mostly for fun, and I recorded the session. Some did not know I was recording. This is what we sound like when we think no one is listening. This is sight reading a piece with crumhorns and bass dulcian. and this sounds like a Brade Pavan and Galliard, although I can't be sure. And if you have the patience, this is the program we performed in January 2007. It is 40 minutes long.
